Directions for Preparation
Suspend 23.5 grams in 1000 mL purified or distilled water. Heat to boiling with continuous mixing until the medium dissolves completely. Sterilize by autoclaving at 15 lbs pressure (121°C) for 15 minutes. Allow the medium to cool to approximately 45–50°C, mix well, and pour into sterile Petri plates.
For microbiological testing, appropriate sample dilutions can be added to sterile Petri plates before adding the molten medium. Plates should be gently rotated to ensure uniform distribution of the sample throughout the agar.
