Product Description : Listeria Agar (500g)

Listeria Agar is a selective and differential medium used for the isolation and identification of Listeria species, including pathogenic Listeria monocytogenes. It is crucial in food safety analysis, clinical diagnosis, and environmental monitoring. This is a highly selective medium that promotes the growth of Listeria species and suppresses the development of other microorganisms; thus, it is applicable to the detection of Listeria from food, clinical specimens, and environmental samples.

For the verification of Listeria presence in food control studies, Listeria Agar is used in microbiology. The agar allows the growth of Listeria monocytogenes with distinct colony morphology, making these organisms easy to detect. It is commonly used as a testing method, for example, in testing food and water for Listeria contamination.
